This neat little spaghetti western opens with gunslinger/bounty hunter Mannaja bringing down the man he was hired kill. He then travels to the small mining town of Suttonville. There he is is hired by the towns mayor to take on another job. It seems the man’s daughter is missing and he wants Mannaja to find her. It turns out, however, that he girl was kidnapped by the Mayor’s corrupt associate who is working with a gang of outlaws who want to hijack a silver shipment from the mine that the mayor owns. On top of all that, Mannaja believes that they mayor is responsible for the death of his father and wants a little payback.
Sounds like your typical convoluted Italian western plot right? Well it is, but with one cool addition. The full title of this movie is “Mannaja, A Man Called Blade”. This is because, besides his trusty 44, our grizzled anti hero is also packing a hatchet. The movie is a neat treat for fans of the genre. If you like your westerns with a dash of euro spice, you dig this one.

Professional hit man Shatter is not having a good week at work. At the start of the movie he is carrying out a contract to assassinate an African dictator. After the job is done he heads to Hong Kong to get paid and lay low for awhile. Unfortunately the people who hired him pull a nasty double-cross and he finds himself pursued by the mod, the police and the brother of the man he’s just killed. Relying on aid from a martial arts master and his own bad-assery, Shatter must find a way to save his skin and get a little payback.
I’ve been listening to a lot of the Hammicus podcast lately (see the link to the right) and I’ve been wanting to put something up from either of the studios. Unfortunately most of their output isn’t public domain. However, as soon as I saw that the Hammicus guys covered Hammer’s entry into the action/martial arts genre, I had to put it up. I hope you enjoy it.

I was planning on putting up a a crime flick with Johnny Cash in it, but I’ve done a lot of crime flicks lately. It has been several months since we had a sci-fi movie on here, so I thought I’d put up a little space adventure for you. Also, it just happened to be on the same disk I was ripping another movie off of for Friday Night Frights.
Anyway, the story concerns a group of space explorers who land on a mysterious planet that is on a collision course with Earth Eventually they join forces with warriors from the approaching planet in hopes of destroying the sentient computer that has taken over and put both worlds in danger.
