Welcome back loyal patrons. Tonight we have a program of film noir features for you, each featuring a a tempting skirt with evil on her mind and damnation on her lips. We haven’t really done a lot of noir flicks here, but I was in the mood for some and I thought you might like these.
QUICKSAND
Mickey Rooney is a schlub mechanic who is desperate to woo a gold digging woman who comes into the garage he works in. Short on money, he steals $20 from the register. He figures he can replace it before anyone finds out, but things go wrong and his “girlfriend” keeps demanding more and more expensive things. His one criminal act quickly leads him down a path of increasingly serious infractions and brings him into contact with some very unsavory characters, including the always great Peter Lorre.
DETOUR
A man eager to reunite with his estranged girlfriend is hitchhiking to California. When the seedy gambler he is riding with suddenly dies our protagonist is sure that the police will blame him for the death. Instead of reporting the incident, he assumes the dead man’s identity and heads down the road. Unfortunately for him, he picks up an astute young woman who quickly figures out what he is up to and threatens to expose him if he doesn’t do everything she wants. He is quickly thrust into situations that are much worse the his original problem. This one is great a little thriller.

It is a new year loyal patrons and your local desktop drive-in is back in business. I’m sorry for the lack of output in December, but things just kept coming up. Anyway, we are back on track and ready with a double feature about some men who make questionable choices in their lives. This makes things rough for them, but pretty OK for use, because we’ve got a couple legit 70s drive-in classics ready for download.
WEEKEND WITH THE BABY SITTER
A middle aged man is preparing for a quiet weekend at home as his wife is about to take their baby out of town with her for a couple days. Somebody forgot to call the sitter, however, and she shows up expecting to watch the kid. Instead she and the husband head to Hollywood for a weekend that involves sex drugs, bikers, and shocking revelations.
THE SISTER IN LAW
An aspiring singer threatens his life and career when he gets involved with his seductive sister-in-law and with the drug smuggling ring run by her husband.
